Before I started out on my own in Escondido in 2020, I spent years as another mason's right hand. I ran their jobs and learned how to read an old wall and match its mortar. I learned the trade on the tools, and I'm still on the tools most days, because that's where you see what a wall is really telling you.
These days we're best known for bringing worn brick back to life and for building block, brick and stone walls that sit right in a yard. Most people call about crumbling joints, cracked brick or a wall they've been wanting for a while, and plenty call just to ask whether something is worth fixing at all. I care most about doing the fix your wall actually needs, not the one that's easiest to sell. Good masonry should outlast all of us, so I'd rather take the careful way than leave you a problem down the road.
